Fwd. from Orme Blog

Hi Bucks,

Sorry to butt in on your blog but Gramps wanted you guys to see this post of Katie's in case you didn't see our blog. Bryson did this AMAZING "wiki" for his school project.
So I've copied it & hope it works. Love you all. Sorry again.

So proud of my man...
Well, Bryson's first semester back at school after almost a year off is finally over! Today was his last day and the poor guy crashed tonight at like 11:30 (which may not seem early, but for us it is)...he's just been so exhausted for the past four months, now he finally gets to sleep. He has worked SO hard this semester! And it's definitely paid off...he got straight A's!! I'm SOOO proud of him!! Between going to class EVERY day (he never missed one class), doing hours on end of accounting homework (along with homework for all his other classes), as well as putting in as many hours as he can with normal work to bring in some money, and of course squeezing some Katie time in there when he can...he's been kept VERY busy! He's been non-stop from 7:00 am until midnight, 1:00, 2:00 am every day for the past four months! I don't know how he did it with so little sleep! But he did and I couldn't be more proud of my wonderful husband! He deserves those straight A's!! He worked so hard for them! And he deserves this nice long Christmas break!Anyway, I'm just so proud of the hard working, diligent, and just plain wonderful man that he is! While I'm bragging about him, I have to show you guys his final project that he had to do for his religion class, which was Eternal Marriage. They had to make a Wiki (don't know exactly what that is, but basically a website...I guess) discussing the principles talked about in "The Family: A Proclamation to the World". Each student had to make one discussing their views as well as including other quotes etc supporting the principles in the Proclamation. I went to class with Bryson the day they were all presenting their Wikis and while there were some nice ones, Bryson's was BY FAR the best one! And I'm not just saying that because I'm his wife. When he pulled his up everybody in the class was like, "Oh my gosh! That's so awesome!" "I'm embarrassed to even show mine now cause that one is so much better than mine!" "How did he do that?" "That's so cool!" ....you get the picture. The whole class as well as the teacher were just blown away by his. Anyway, so check it out! It really is great! Just click here:

HOLY COW.....I DID IT!!!

Hello everyone!! Gramps this is for you......I finally did it. I am officially a blogger. I will think of something really cool to write about....ummm thinking.....thinking......I just cant think of anything as "cool" as Tobey's steel erection!!! hahahahaha!! The family is doing awesome! Taylor is in 8th grade and "LOVES" video games( I think girls too, but he wont admit it yet). Tristan is in 2nd grade and "LOVES" football!!!!! He eats, drinks, sleeps, it. He played youth football this last year and did great....he has an awesome attitude and is very coachable! Savannah Sage is in preschool and is taking gymnastics("nastics"). She loves it and is very good too. We tried cheerleading and she was good at that too. I imagine that she will be pretty good at whatever she sets her mind too. She is definately my strong little leader child!! Garth has been battling a cold for the last 2 weeks and he feels miserable, but he is chugging along. We had a great time at Thanksgiving! We love being around all of the family and wish that we could spend more time with you all. Gramps, thank you so much for letting Savannah and I stay last week! We had a great time, and I will try to post some of the pictures from our little Disneyland trip. Gotta get to work...Love you! Melissa

gr'ma's condition

As most of you probably know Gr'ma has been in the hospital since Thur. She had a kidney infection along with other things. She has been improving we thought an hoped she might be able to come home tomorrow until this afternoon when I went over and she has broken out in a rash. Don't know why but they won't release her with that.:-(
At any rate we'll keep you posted. gramps

Talley

Talley recently finished her first cross country season with the San Luis Distance Club. She did amazing! She placed 5th in the Bantam category(9&10 year olds)in the state. She placed 11th for regionals which qualifies her for National Jr. Olympics! They're in Kansas, so we won't be taking her this year. Hopefully she'll make it next year, when she's older and the nationals are in Virginia. We are very proud of her hard work and dedication at such a young age! Hooray Talley! All of the seasons results can be viewed at www. roorats.org under "member notes" and "results".

Thanksgiving

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed having Claudia here for several days instead of the usual quick trip. Much fun having the Porterfields too and Garth you are one very great cook. We really appreciated the time and effort you put into the dinner. We had a very nice thanksgiving. Had the big feast at Lori's where she had heated the pool and the kids all got to swim. Much fun for them. After dinner Kathi had planned a surprise baby shower for Jenny and came out with a sack ful of balloons and we all sang Happy baby shower to jen. It was the only one she had had so it really touched her. It's always good visiting with family and makes us realize how truly blessed we are to have such a wonderful family. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways and we are more mindful of it each day. True we have our adversities but that even makes us more aware of the good things. We love each one of you and only wish all of you could have been here. Love Mom, Dad, grams, gramps etc...
